My DAY!!

I found my EAR!!!!

Today Bennett was laying on her boppy just hanging out when she started crying and then ohhhhhhhhh there was an EAR!!!!! She held her ear for a good 5 mins, and dad moved her hand aways and she quickly grabed at her ear again. It was super cute!

IKEA!!!!!!!!

So this weekend Alex poor guy said the dumbest thing he could ever say.... "on Saturday would you like to go to Ikea?". Well I said yes of course what girl that likes to shop would say NO!!!! First off I had never been to Ikea so this was definitely an experience.

The STORE!!!!!

The shelf we got it's going over the Tv.. I've been looking for something to go about the TV for a year and nothing till this yea......

The simple dinning chairs we bought, just two for the ends of the dinning I'm going to make custom covers with some funky fabric!

This is the kitchen I want, and might be getting we need to update our kitchen bc the house we bought is 11years old and the only things not updated in our house is the Kitchen and baths weird.... Oh and who knew Ikea did kitchens I didn't.

This we bought to use as an entry table it's only 6 1/2 in deep its soooo cute.

This is a small space one person dinning table we were going to buy it but they were out of stock so we will be getting it next Ikea trip. Its for Alli and Bennett in the loft to use for art....

This white shelf we bought for Alli and Bennett's chalk wall to put the chalk and eraser on. Cute huh

Again the chair (but in pink) we were going to buy for the loft but they were out. The girl at the check out said this chair and it's matching table is one of their best sellers... BOO

The car when we left Ikea... I could have put soooo much more in ha but then I would have been broke ha

That was the best trip EVER... I wish they would build Ikea by us!

Girl date...... and babies

So last Friday Alli had a play date with her cute little friend Alexis.... They were super funny. They played outside in the fort and on the trampoline... They took two baby dolls outside and I went out their to bring them a afternoon snack and guess what they were doing,..... they were pretending to be pregnant mommy's ha they had the babies under their shirts. It was hysterical! I also had box left over from my B-day gifts so I let the girl have it them and they colored them all up.

the baby bellies!!! Look Alexis is about to have her's see the arm haha.... right after I took this picture Alexis grabbed her back and said "ohhhhhh she's kicking, it hurts". Alexis mom just had a baby 4 months ago too.

Thursday my brother took the San Antonio police test.... he did great! but it was downtown and my brother doesn't know his way around or where he was going so he asked if I would take him and drop him off and pick him back up when he was done.I said sure why not what else did I have to do just cleaning.... ha

So Bennett and I had an adventure downtown while my brother was taking his test...

Creative Juice

So this past month I have been every where and on all kinds of cute web boutiques looking for a very cute baby on the go changing pad but I haven't found any I liked till I went on to Rockerbye baby website they had super cute and funky patterns but they were $30 plus shipping and I just thought no way, that's a lot for something that will get super dirty and no one but me will really see it. So I found a template that I followed to make my own!!!! and this is how it turned out..... great!

The fabric I used... It was left over from Alli's quilt

I cut out panels that were 13" wide and 8 1/2" long and then put then back to back and sewed one edge

This is the sewn edge, then I iron then down to look neat

This is the fabric right side up after sewing all together

The batting I used to make laying down for a change cushy, it was left of from Alli's quilt

I cut the batting the same size as the fabric I had already sewn.

I then cut this minky fabric , this is the side I'll lay Bennett on to change her

This is hard to see but its purple ribbon I used to accent the pattern fabric side, just to give it a little something! I put it on the seems where I sewed the fabric together.

Working hard

This weekend we finally got our self's motivated to do some yard work ha. Really it was just hard getting the yard work done between the crappy weather and us being really busy. But we managed to get going this Sunday and the yard looks AMAZING!!!! Well some people would beg to differ but our yard before wow our house looked like the white trash family of the street... on one side of our house we have a big bush and the side yard behind the bush had weeds lots of weed some almost as tall as me hahaha. so bad so Alex mowed the front yard and then sprayed weed killer, all while I worked on our crazy butterfly bushes and some other random bush they were out of control. I trimmed them all up and then make the butterfly bushes in to cute little bush balls. I'm not done.... but I was in the middle of cutting down this super tiny tree that I hate(Its only like 2 1/2ft tall weird) when I saw a spark and my bush saw stop, I cut right through the extension cord. Thank god I wasn't hurt, I am normally really good about keep that cord away. So Oh and we are working on putting up new front light fixtures, they look super pretty.
