Alli's Blanket...

As I was making Bennett's room stuff Alli asked me if I would make her a blanket out of Bennett's fabric. But b/c I didn't have enough to finish Bennett's blanket and make Alli one, so I bought four other fabric's that have similar colors in them and made Alli her own quilt with a small amount of Bennett's fabric. Then I will be working on Bennett's quilt over Christmas break and will be adding some of Alli's fabric in it. So they will have their own personal quilts but will have the same fabrics.... I love it!!! Let me know what ya'll think.

Bennett's Room things....

so every body who knows me couldn't believe I did this stuff but I looked and looked every where for super cute crib bedding and couldn't find what I wanted till I looked at custom crib bedding and wow was I blown away. Not only by the super cute fabric and the price they wanted for the bedding... the fabric I picked was this color paisley one (I love it!) and the price was $475 for a bumper, crib skirt, and the fitted sheet. Really for three things that's craziness so I decided to buy the same fabric and make it on my own. well I have sewn for years so I thought it shouldn't be "to" hard to make the crib stuff. Well surprisingly it wasn't to hard I really I'm happy with my finished product. So here is the finished product....

This is the crib skirt, there is also a pleat in the center... that was my favorite part of my sewing.

These are the colors of Bennett's room the colors are different b/c one pic was taken with the flash. But the colors are a lavender and a light white purple. Bennett's room has what's called a chair rail molding... it's the molding that's on the center off the wall. anyway we are painting the lavender on the bottom and the light white purple on top.

31 weeks... Dr appt

So yesterday I had my 31 weeks Dr.appt, it went good she said my weight is great (ha really), the baby sounds prefect, and now I'm on what she calls AUTO PILOT. 2 Months to good yea!!!! I'm almost done!!! So if anybody was wondering what's happening to the baby boy do I have lots of info for you. As far as growth goes, baby's still on a roll, measuring an around 18 inches and weighing in at more than three pounds. At 31 weeks pregnant, we can still expect her to gain at least three to five pounds, possibly more, before we meet her.
Her brain is working overtime these days, developing faster than ever. Connections between individual nerve cells are growing at a frenetic clip, and she can now perceive information from all five senses. No she can't smell anything right now, but that's only because he or she is still submerged in amniotic fluid and needs to be breathing air to get a whiff of anything. Lucky for me and baby mine will be one of the very first scents your baby breathes in, a scent that will quickly become her very favorite. (YOU HEAR THAT GODFATHER.... ME!) haha
So what's my little girl doing all day while I'm busy get our nest ready for her arrival? Making faces, hiccuping, swallowing, breathing, pedaling with little hands and feet along my uterine wall, and even sucking her thumb. Some babies suck their thumbs so vigorously while in the womb that they're born with a callus on their thumb (what a little sucker!). It's me in my PJ's....I'll have a better picture after Thanksgiving.

Allis new boots....

I know its a bad picture, but I just had to put this on here. Alli got these knee high boots 2 weeks ago and she hasn't taken them off, the funny part is she got two pairs of shoes that day. Who knew my child would be a Fashion Diva ha she never wants to leave the house unless she is decked out...boots, gloves, dresses, skirts, heels, some lip gloss, she always wants to be very girlie. I love it!!!!!

Wine party Saturday night

We were invited to a Wine Party... I hate wine and I'm pregnant so why did I go... ha well I had to b/c the people throwing the party are friends of Alex's from like 3rd grade. Anyway So we went I was not to happy to go just b/c I didn't know anyone, but as luck would have it my best and her husband came in town this weekend so they came with us. That was 3 people I knew ha Alex, Aaron, and Elaina but once we got there and chatted with the few people they had over my nerves claimed and we had a really good time. Again I couldn't drink the wine but from what everybody told me it was great, they had like 6 different bottles. They also had cheese yum and chocolate fondue with angel food cake, strawberries and grapes. The snacks were yummy! Main point of the night I had a great time and the people "Girls" that were their were really friendly and they were fun to chat with, we didn't leave till around 1am (late for me). I have always wanted to have a wine party but I always joke my friends aren't wine kind of people. well I should say my 5 friends ha. So after I have this baby I have decided to have a Champagne party. Fruit, and Champagne it will be awesome at least in my mind!!

Busy Busy Busy

Hello my friends.... it's been a while, i have been super busy with getting ready for our school break and getting Alli ready to leave for her thanksgiving with her "Biological Father". The week before Thanksgiving my children at school have a Thanksgiving Snack where we make Friendship Salad (Fruit Salad) and we talk about how we share everything. That's the existent of our Thanksgiving talk... ha but the children loved sharing the fruit they brought. Then on Friday I had to get Alli ready for her flight to Virgina Beach 4.5 hours, uh long. but she helped me get her bag ready them she was off on her trip. She called me when she landed and she was so happy to talk with me she said "Mommy I made it here, I love you and tell daddy I love him and give him a big hug for me..." awe how sweet, I hate when she is gone from us! anyway now I have a whole week of peace and quite, if you can imagine our house is silent. But she will be back on Friday

29 weeks...

Week 29 of Pregnancy: Baby Fat
At 29 weeks pregnant, Bennett is almost 17 inches long now (nearly as tall as she will be at birth), and close to three pounds (a weight that could double or maybe tripling by delivery time). Her wrinkled skin is smoothing out as more fat is deposited under the skin surface. This fat, called white fat, is different from the earlier brown fat that she accumulated. Brown fat is necessary for body temperature regulation while white fat (the fat we have) actually serves as an energy source.
Which explains why my energizer baby feels so energized! Space in my Bennett's living quarters is now at a premium, so I'll be feeling jabs and pokes from elbows and knees mostly. But the kicks will be more vigorous than before (and also less erratic) because she is stronger and excitedly responding to all sorts of stimuli movement, sounds, light, and that candy bar i ate half an hour ago.
Luckily, she doesn't have teeth yet that would need a brushing after that sugary treat, but it won't be long before will need to buy that first baby toothbrush! Bennett's baby-teeth buds formed weeks ago, but now the buds for permanent teeth are forming in her gums as well.

Missing people

Hi guys i'm sitting here watching San Antonio Living (LOVE THIS SHOW..) anyway this episode is dedicated to The Heidi Search Center. It is their 19th anniversary since the center was started, and they need all the help they can get finding these children and adults. So take a moment see if maybe you have seen them have your friends and family look at these children bc all I can think about is what if this was my child.

Nov 2 Doctors Apt.

Today I had my first of two doctors apt for Nov. It's crazy after my next apt I'll be going to the doctor every two weeks. So this week I'm at 28 weeks, can you believe it before we know it she will be here. So today I got this e-mail from Alex... So cute! I got him set up with this weekly e-mail telling him about the baby and what's going on with my belly and so on. (I did this bc he was already hunting the Internet learning crazy baby things and this site wasn't as graphic about the things going on with the baby and my body ha.) So back to the e-mail, lately I have been having leg cramps and my legs have been hurting from me standing all day with my kids at school. so I have been complaining about this and Alex and I have been wondering why I can't get rid of this problem... well Alex got this e-mail today talking about how around this point the women might start getting leg cramps and it's bc of the way the baby is positioned in my body. But at the top of the Fwd e-mail he wrote: "Here is the reason for your legs hurting! You are extremely tough, and you are doing wonderful through the pregnancy so far. I am so proud of you, and cannot wait to see our beautiful baby girl. I love you! ". How wonderful is he, I'm pretty lucky to have found a great guy bc sometime with the pregnancy I am very grumpy and take things out on him and he doesn't deserve that.... Alex IF you ready this thank you for always putting up with me I know I'm not that easy to deal with, I LOVE YOU BABE!!!! :)

Week 28 of Pregnancy: Sciatica (Tingling Leg Pain)
As your baby gets settled into position for birth, that little head may rest on the sciatic nerve in the lower part of your spine, causing sharp, shooting pain, tingling, or numbness that starts in your buttocks and radiates down the back of your legs during pregnancy.
This is it — you're two-thirds to the finish line at 28 weeks pregnant, as you enter the third trimester! And what a difference a trimester makes. Gone, most likely, are the days when you could call pregnancy "comfortable" (that is, if you ever did). These days, your baby's kicking (or lack of) is keeping you up at night and worried during the day, your feet are swollen, you're getting tired all over again, and your backache is a pain that just won't quit. And even though he or she hasn't started crying yet, it may seem that your baby's getting on your nerves already — literally. As your baby gets settled into a proper (you hope) position for birth, his or her head (and your enlarging uterus) may rest on the sciatic nerve in the lower part of your spine. And if that happens, you may feel sharp, shooting pain, tingling, or numbness that starts in your buttocks and radiates down the back of your legs — otherwise known as sciatica. The pain of sciatica can be quite intense at times, and though it may pass if your baby shifts positions, it can also linger until you've delivered.
